VITAL LINK ENRICHMENT & VITAL LINK TUTORIAL

For the past three years, the San Diego Junior Golf Foundation has been in partnership with the Vital Link Enrichment and Vital Link Tutorial programs. This joint effort is key to our commitment towards student educational.

Vital Link Enrichment and Vital Link tutorial programs are an innovative effort to strengthen the literacy and social skills of children that attend either program.

The Vital Link programs provide a safe, caring environment in a community of many diverse races (Afro-American, Hispanic, Caucasian, Asian-American, etc.). At Vital Link our mission is clear..."We endeavor to impact our community with educational empowerment, economic development, and social improvement".

Vital Link Enrichment is a before and after school program that assists children with homework, computer literacy, sign language training, and arts and crafts. Using an Explorer Globe, the children are taught: countries, continents, oceans, capitals, population of areas, music of the different countries and much more. Mrs. Donna Cooper is the director of the Vital Link Enrichment Program. Vital Link Enrichments hours are 6:00 a.m. through 7:30 a.m. and 2:30 through 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Vital Link Tutorial Program includes homework assistance, SAT practice testing and college entrance practice. Meeting Monday and Tuesday evenings from 6:00 p.m. till 7:30 children from kindergarten through 12th grade are assisted by Mr. Herb Blackman; director and volunteers.
